Death of an Era
Originally uploaded by spiritquest.

I grew up as a kid during the birth of VHS and VCR society. Before Blockbusters sprouted up from the earth..

This scene reminds me of the strewn Audio Cassettes I used to see smashed and spilling its internals all over pavements.

A sense of loss and grief, even big stores are trying to shift there VHS stock . . It realy is the death of analogue video. With DVD production in overdrive and HD transmissions, we are securley swampped within the realm of Digital Video now.

I’ll always keep a VCR handy!

Cool Spore

Thursday, March 9th, 2006

I remember being totally addicted to this Atari ST (or was it the Beeb) game back in the 80’s called Eco – where you played a lifeorm during the stages of development, I think Spore is going to take it one step further.

I stubmbled across this blog entry which contained a detailed video presentation of the game on Kevin Burton’s Feed Blog

Ed: Its big news again as found on this morning (24th Mar 06)Spore at CNet
